Daily recap of what’s new and what’s good.
Cloves “California Numb”
Australian Singer Songwriter Kaity Dunstan’s new single is pretty good. I like the video of her roaming the streets of Tribeca too. Great voice.
Julia Michaels “Uh huh”
First song off the new album is fantastic- strange that Republic did no have a video ready to go when this track hit the internet…Here is the audio.
Arcade Fire “Everything Now”
I think its kind of funny that every album they have to come up with a new outfit they will all dress alike in – looks like this iteration is Pan Am Mechanic jumpsuits…also a lot has been written regarding the dystopian view of the video -but really – all their videos take on this dystopian view of different parts of American life – all that being said….I love the band, I think every album they have ever done has been brilliant, I like the new song a lot…its all good.
Tasseomancy “Jimi Infinity”
I love these Canadians and literally get excited every time they drop a new video on the Tasseotube….
Rainer Maria “Lower Worlds”
This is RM’s comeback record and the first one in over a decade. The song sounds great – full album out on Polyvinyl in August.
Big Boi “Kill Jill”
Big Boi never really disappoints -its a big, mainstream heavily produced track, its good.
Tess Roby “Ballad 5”
More Canadians….every part of the song creeps in like a lo fi dream, a lot of interesting production choices on the song….I am a fan.
