What’s Good – June 8th

Your daily dose of what’s good….

 BNQT “Restart”

New video from BNQT – even thought this track hit the internet 6 months ago.   Pronounced “banquet”, the  band consists of members from Band Of Horses, Grandaddy, and Franz Ferdinand.  Album is out now, its not bad you should check it out.

Iron & Wine “Call It Dreaming”

Easily my favorite song of the day, I love the lyrics and the vibe of the song, video is pretty chill too.  New album from I&W is called Beast Epic and it’s out August 25th.

Michael Nau “How Your So For Real”

Cotton James alum Michael Nau’s new Album Some Twist  comes out next week. Pretty good laid back feel here…I like the effects on the vocals and the drums.

Carla Bruni “Enjoy The Silence”

Carla Bruni is the wife of the former president of France Nicolas Sarkozy, a former model and a singer – songwriter.   Song is an interesting take on the material.  Check it out.

Alan The Chemist with Action Bronson & Big Body Bes “Brother Jedidiah”

Its a fun jam – Alan the Chemist has a ton of really cool beats and tracks on his Soundcloud page.  Best Lyric: “that is what I call a team player – I am gonna buy him a Nissan Murano”.

Eilish Gilligan “The Feeling”

Australian, production is okay, I like the vocals, not bad for early innings, check it out.

Car Seat Headrest “Stoney Bologne”

Seems like a bit of an artistic diversion, fun to listen to once.  Love CSH.

Room8 “Just You & 1”

Room8 are producers Ezra Reich and Nic Johns -“Just You” reminds me a lot of Prince but I don’t mean that in a negative way, I like the song a lot, it’s pretty good.
